March Into Madness: Prep for Tournament Season at EBC Kirkland
When April hits and tournaments stack up, the players who trained in March look different. They move differently. They react differently. They play with purpose.
What is it about March? One minute it’s gray skies and rain in Kirkland, the next minute everyone’s yelling about brackets like they’re financial advisors. Suddenly, people who haven’t touched a basketball since middle school are experts on tournament seeding. It’s chaos. It’s beautiful. It’s March.
And while the world debates upsets and Cinderella stories, here at EBC Training Centers in Kirkland, we’re focused on something a little more practical: making sure your athlete is actually ready for tournament season.
Because here’s the thing about March Madness—it’s only fun if you’re prepared. Otherwise, it’s just… regular madness.
Why March Is Tournament Truth Season
Tournament season has a funny way of exposing things.
That lazy closeout you’ve been getting away with? Exposed.
That “I’ll just wing it” approach to ball handling? Exposed.
That jumper that works great in warmups but disappears in games? Very exposed.
March doesn’t lie. And that’s why this is the perfect time to train smarter at EBC Kirkland.
March is when:
Competition level rises
Game speed increases
Coaches get serious
And every possession suddenly matters
You can’t just show up and hope it works out. You need preparation. Structure. Repetition. The boring stuff that makes the exciting stuff possible.
That’s where we come in.
What We’re Doing at EBC This March
We’re not handing out brackets. We’re handing out better habits.
Our March tournament prep training in Kirkland is built around three things: skill sharpness, game awareness, and composure under pressure.
🏀 Game-Speed Skill Work
You know what doesn’t happen in tournaments? Slow, relaxed, casual basketball.
So in March, we train at tournament pace:
Shooting off movement (because standing still isn’t a strategy)
Ball handling under pressure (because defenders don’t politely wait)
Finishing through contact (because referees don’t always see everything)
Transition decision-making (because chaos is part of the game)
We simulate the intensity your athlete will face so they don’t look surprised when it happens for real.
🧠 Basketball IQ & Situational Training
Tournaments aren’t just about talent. They’re about moments.
Up two with a minute left.
Down five with three to go.
Tie game, final possession.
Do you panic? Or do you know what to do?
In March, we work on:
Clock management
Defensive communication
Offensive spacing
Recognizing mismatches
Adjusting mid-game
Because if your athlete understands the moment, they don’t get swallowed by it.
💪 Conditioning That Transfers to Games
There’s tired. And then there’s tournament tired.
Multiple games in a weekend.
Short rest between matchups.
High-intensity minutes stacked back-to-back.
Our March sessions include:
High-intensity intervals
Lateral quickness drills
Core stability and balance
Game-rep scrimmages that build stamina the right way
It’s not about running until someone sees stars. It’s about building endurance that actually shows up on the court.
Who Should Be Training in March?
Short answer: anyone who plans on competing this spring.
More specifically:
AAU players gearing up for travel tournaments
Middle school athletes building confidence before bigger stages
High school players refining their game before summer showcases
Young athletes in Kirkland and surrounding areas who want to get better, not just stay busy
We group athletes by age and skill level so every player is challenged appropriately. Nobody’s overwhelmed. Nobody’s coasting.
Parents, Let’s Talk About March
March is busy.
School projects.
Spring schedules.
Maybe a little spring break thrown in there just to keep things interesting.
That’s why our basketball training schedule at EBC Kirkland is flexible:
Weekday evening sessions
Weekend training blocks
Focused small group and private options
You don’t have to rearrange your life to help your athlete improve. We make it manageable. Productive. Worth it.
And let’s be honest—structured training beats hearing a basketball bounce against the garage door for two straight hours.

March Is About Momentum
Here’s what’s interesting about March.
It feels like a midpoint. Not quite winter. Not quite summer. Just… transitional.
And that’s exactly why it matters.
Momentum builds now.
Confidence sharpens now.
Habits solidify now.
When April hits and tournaments stack up, the players who trained in March look different. They move differently. They react differently. They play with purpose.
And the ones who didn’t? Well… they look surprised.
Final Thought Before Tournament Season Tips Off
March Into Madness isn’t about hype. It’s about preparation.
It’s about stepping into tournament season knowing:
Your shot is reliable
Your handle is secure
Your conditioning holds up
Your decision-making makes sense
At EBC Training Centers in Kirkland, we’re not chasing madness. We’re building mastery.
So if tournament season is around the corner—and it is—now’s the time to train like it.
See you in the gym. Bring your game. Leave the excuses. 🏀
Love Your Jumper: Sharpen Your Shot This February in Kirkland
don’t wait until the next tryout to fix your shot. Don’t hope it “just gets better.” Train it. Trust it. Love it. Because when you love your jumper, the game loves you back. 💘🏀
It’s February in Kirkland. The weather’s moody, your kid’s attention span is shorter than the month itself, and everyone’s talking about love. Love songs. Love letters. Love-themed desserts. Cute, right?
But here’s a radical thought: what if your athlete loved their jumper as much as they love sleeping in on weekends?
What if, this February, we shifted the focus from candy hearts to clean follow-throughs? From romantic playlists to reliable mid-range pull-ups?
Welcome to “Love Your Jumper” Month at EBC Training Centers, where we’re helping players of all levels sharpen their shot, elevate their confidence, and finally answer the question: Why do I keep shooting like I’m afraid of success?
Let’s Talk About Your Jumper (It Needs Attention)
Look, we get it. Shooting is personal. It's that one part of the game that everyone thinks they're good at, until the scoreboard says otherwise.
You can feel when it’s off. It’s like trying to open a bag of chips quietly in a silent classroom—you think it’s going well until it all falls apart.
This month, we’re breaking it down to build it up. We’re addressing:
Inconsistent form that flattens under pressure
Poor footwork that turns jumpers into jumping jacks
Shot selection (because fading away from a 6th grader who’s 4'8" is unnecessary)
Mental focus—how to stay confident when the first two shots bounce like pinballs
Because here’s the truth: no one falls in love with their jumper until they trust it.
What EBC Is Running This February
You know us—we’re not big on fluff. Our February programming is all about efficient, effective, feel-good reps. Think Valentine’s vibes, but with more sweat and zero roses.
🏀 Precision Shooting Clinics
Our specialty sessions focus on:
Release mechanics and muscle memory
Range building (step by step—not chucking from half court for TikTok)
Repetition under fatigue to simulate real-game conditions
Catch-and-shoot and off-the-dribble reps
Because if you're only good when you're wide open and emotionally stable, you're not ready.
🎯 Shooting Games & Scoring Challenges
We make the grind fun with:
King of the Key
Knockout (with rules that actually teach spacing and shot timing)
Beat the Coach: hit more shots or do more burpees—it’s simple math
Every rep has a purpose. Every drill has a goal. And yes, we keep score. Because you should know if your shot's actually working.
🧠 Confidence, Focus & Flow
Shooting is mental. No, not like "my kid yelled at the ball" mental. We mean decision-making, consistency, and pressure management.
We incorporate:
Mindset coaching with tools from Graham Betchart
Visualization and goal-setting exercises
Identifying habits that sabotage performance
If your shot falls apart when someone yells, “Shooter!”—this part’s for you.
Who Should Join the Love Fest?
✔️ Beginners who’ve never been taught proper shooting mechanics
✔️ Intermediate players looking to increase range and efficiency
✔️ Advanced athletes preparing for spring and summer tournaments
✔️ Players who’ve been ghosted by their jump shot and need closure
We group players by age and skill level so nobody feels out of place, and everyone gets better.
Bonus: Valentine’s Week Fun
We're embracing the theme, just enough to make it memorable without getting weird.
💘 “Love Your Jumper” Shooting Challenge
Sink five in a row and win Valentine’s treats (and possibly some street cred).
💔 Broken Jumper Boot Camp
For players who know their shot needs saving—we’ll rebuild from the ground up. With love. And sweat.
🎁 Candy? Yes. Conditioning? Also yes.
Because the only thing sweeter than chocolate is a made three in transition.

Why This Month Matters
Let’s not kid ourselves. February’s that weird part of the year where momentum stalls. Players either step forward—or fade until spring.
And coaches? They notice.
They remember who came back sharper. Who kept working.
Who used February as an opportunity, not a vacation.
So don’t wait until the next tryout to fix your shot. Don’t hope it “just gets better.” Train it. Trust it. Love it.
Because when you love your jumper, the game loves you back. 💘🏀
EBC Training Centers | Kirkland
Where heartbreakers become shot-makers.
Let’s get to work.
New Year, New Handles: Start 2026 Strong with Basketball Training in Kirkland
New year, new handles.
Let’s make sure 2026 starts with real work, real progress, and a few broken ankles (figuratively, of course).
Alright, so it's January. New year. New goals. New you, allegedly. You're probably still shaking off holiday brain fog, swearing you’ll finally fix your diet, cut screen time, or learn Spanish. Meanwhile, your kid’s crossovers are still looking like someone tripping over invisible groceries.
Let’s fix that.
At EBC Training Centers in Kirkland, we don’t do resolutions. We do reps. We do results. And this month? We’re kicking off 2026 with serious skill work—starting with better handles, stronger confidence, and fewer panicked turnovers.
Why January Is the Real Game-Changer
January’s funny. It’s the month of high hopes and gym memberships that die by the 18th. But if you’re serious about hoops—if your kid actually wants to level up their game—January is gold.
Why?
Everyone else is coasting.
They’re still digesting ham and binge-watching sports documentaries pretending that counts as training.Tryout season is closer than you think.
Coaches notice who's been working and who’s been on winter vacation since Thanksgiving.Habits start now.
How you train in January shapes how you compete in March.
At EBC, we take all that "new year, new me" energy and actually apply it. We start 2026 by sharpening fundamentals, building confidence, and helping players walk into any gym like they’ve got something to prove—and the tools to back it up.
What We’re Doing This Month at EBC
We're not reinventing basketball. We're just teaching it better. Here's what January at EBC looks like:
🏀 Handle Development (AKA, Stop Losing the Ball)
Let’s be real. There’s a difference between dribbling and dribbling with purpose. We focus on:
Tightening ball control under pressure
Creating space off the bounce
Moving confidently with both hands (yes, even the one that usually just waves at teammates)
Change of speed and direction—not just sprinting into defenders and hoping for the best
Your crossover should break ankles, not your rhythm.
🧠 Game IQ & Situational Awareness
Basketball isn’t just about being fast or flashy—it’s about knowing when, where, and why.
This month, we’re training players to:
Read defenses like a book (a short one—attention spans are real)
React under pressure without panicking
Communicate on the court without just yelling “I’m open!” on repeat
Understand offensive flow, spacing, and how to actually help their team
Because looking good in a highlight reel is fun. But knowing where to be when it counts? That’s how you earn minutes.
💪 Functional Strength & Conditioning
Forget running laps until you black out. We focus on:
Basketball-specific movement
Core strength and balance
Quickness and agility drills
Conditioning that simulates real-game pacing
It’s not about burning calories—it’s about building players who can play hard and smart for four quarters, not just the first six minutes.
Who Should Show Up?
Short answer: anyone who’s not satisfied with “good enough.”
Longer answer:
Middle school players trying to build a strong foundation
High school athletes looking to stand out and make real varsity impact
Club and AAU players preparing for tournament season
Young hoopers who are ready to trade “I play basketball” for “I train for basketball”
If they’ve got the mindset, we’ll provide the method. We group by age and skill level, so no one’s overwhelmed—or bored.
The Vibe: It’s Intense, But It’s Real
Look, we’re not drill sergeants. But we also don’t do empty encouragement and pizza party vibes. Our coaches bring a mix of:
High expectations
Personalized feedback
Humor when you need it
Accountability when you’re slacking
We care. We push. And yeah, we call you out when you're dogging it on defense.
Parents, Let’s Have a Moment
We know you’re juggling a lot. New routines, school stress, more forms to sign than a mortgage. Let us help.
When your kid’s training at EBC, they’re:
Staying active
Building discipline
Learning to listen to someone who’s not just you
You’re not just signing them up for basketball—you’re giving them a space to grow, sweat, and get a little better every day. And they’re too tired to talk back when they get home. Win-win.

Last Word: Start the Year Like You Mean It
Look—your kid’s not going to magically get better by scrolling highlight reels and hitting the park once a week.
If they want to compete, if they want to grow, if they want to earn their spot this year—now is the time to show up.
New year, new handles.
Let’s make sure 2026 starts with real work, real progress, and a few broken ankles (figuratively, of course).
We’ll see you in the gym.
Bring your game. Leave the excuses at the door. 🏀
Holiday Hoops: Unwrap a Better Jump Shot This Winter at EBC Training Centers
New Year’s Resolutions are cute. But actual progress starts in December.
You want to make the team in the spring?
You want more minutes next season?
You want to not freeze up every time the ball swings to your side of the court?
Train now.
Work now.
Unwrap a better jump shot, stronger game, and more confidence this winter.
It’s winter in Kirkland. You’re cold. Your kid’s bouncing off the walls. There’s wrapping paper on the floor, peppermint crumbs in the couch cushions, and the sound of “Jingle Bells” is slowly turning into a psychological experiment.
And what does your young hooper want to do with all this free time? Sit around? Scroll? Watch game highlights and pretend that watching is practicing? No. They need something better. Something useful. Something that doesn’t involve throwing a basketball at the side of the garage and calling it "training."
That’s where EBC Training Centers comes in. This winter, we’re serving up Holiday Hoops, a program built to melt bad habits and reheat your kid’s basketball brain before it freezes into “I forgot how to pivot” territory.
Winter Break: The Silent Skill Killer
Let’s be honest—winter break is dangerous.
No school. No schedule. No cardio.
Fewer reps. More cookies.
Confidence slowly replaced by couch cushions.
Look, it’s fun for the first three days. But by Day 4, your kid's talking to the dog about why the Eurostep is misunderstood, and you’re Googling "basketball camps near me" like it’s a cry for help.
Here’s the deal:
December is when most players slow down.
EBC is where your player levels up.
What's in the Holiday Hoops Stocking? 🎄🏀
We’re not here to babysit your kid in a gym while blasting Mariah Carey. This is a structured, focused winter training program with just the right amount of holiday chaos to keep it fun.
🔥 Shot Rebuilding Clinics
That jumper? Let’s be honest—it’s seen better days.
Our coaches go full elf-mode on:
Form correction
Shooting under pressure
Footwork & follow-through drills
By January, your kid’s shot will be so smooth, even grandma might start hooping.
🧠 Basketball IQ Workshops
Holiday hoops isn’t just about reps—it’s about knowing the game.
We help athletes:
Understand off-ball movement
Read defensive rotations
Make decisions faster than “yes” to a second slice of pie
Your kid will start seeing the game like Neo in the Matrix—if Neo had to deal with full-court presses.
🏃♂️ Conditioning & Agility Training
You want the truth? Holiday food isn’t performance fuel.
That’s why we balance the drills with:
Quick-burst speed training
Lateral movement and recovery work
Core strengthening so your player can finish through contact and not crumble like a sugar cookie
🎁 Special Holiday Events
Because we’re not robots—we like fun too.
Here’s what’s coming in December:
Holiday Skills Challenge Day: Obstacle courses, shooting games, and candy cane free throws.
Ugly Sweater Open Gym: Yes, it’s ridiculous. And yes, you better be able to drop 10 points in a snowman cardigan.
Trick Shot Showdown: Winner gets a prize. Loser gets pushups. Classic holiday cheer.
Who Should Be Here (Spoiler: Everyone)
We don’t care if your kid is:
The top scorer on their team
Still figuring out how not to dribble off their foot
Somewhere in between but serious about improving
If they want to get better—we want to help.
We group players by age and skill level so they’re challenged, not overwhelmed. And if your kid walks in acting like they know it all? We’ve got drills to humble them gently. (And then build them up stronger.)

Parents, This Is Your Holiday Miracle
Look—we know winter break is exhausting. You’ve done the gifts, the cooking, the Pinterest crafts that were supposed to be fun but turned into therapy sessions.
Let us take it from here.
You get a break
Your kid gets real training
And everyone goes into the new year with less tension and more jump shots
It’s honestly the best kind of win-win: your athlete improves, and you don’t have to spend the entire break hearing a basketball bounce off the dining room wall.
Final Pep Talk (With a Side of Reality)
New Year’s Resolutions are cute. But actual progress starts in December.

Turkey, Tournaments & Training: Keep Your Game Strong This Fall
October may have ended, but we’re still recovering from the trauma of watching players try to Euro-step in inflatable dinosaur costumes. This is the post-Halloween recovery period, where we clean up the confetti and get back to fundamentals.
It’s November. The leaves are on the ground, your aunt’s already planning her casserole lineup for Thanksgiving, and your kid is practicing free throws with a gravy boat. You can feel the holiday season creeping in—like a slow crossover that ends in a pulled hamstring and an emotional breakdown.
But just because it's fall doesn't mean your kid’s game should be falling apart. Welcome to EBC Training Centers in Kirkland, where the only thing we’re stuffing this month is your athlete’s brain with real basketball IQ and their week with solid, skill-building workouts.
Let’s be honest: November is weird. One minute you're carving pumpkins, the next you're arguing over politics with relatives who still call LeBron “that guy from Space Jam 2.” And somewhere in between? Your athlete’s shot is getting rustier than that leftover cranberry sauce in the back of the fridge.
We’re here to change that.
🎯 Why Fall Is a Trap—and How We Avoid It
Here’s the thing about fall: it feels productive. You're back in school, you're wearing layers like you have your life together, and you keep saying "I'm just taking time to reset." But guess what? Reset is not the same as regress.
If your player hits November without a plan, they’re going to:
Lose the rhythm they built all summer
Skip workouts in favor of Netflix and mashed potatoes
Show up to winter season games with energy levels somewhere between “yawn” and “nap”
That’s why EBC’s Fall Training Program is designed to keep your kid sharp, active, and slightly less likely to scream during turkey time.
🏀 What We’re Serving This Fall (No Gravy Required)
Let’s break down what a typical November at EBC looks like. Spoiler: it's not just dribbling in circles while spooky decorations collect dust.
🧠 Basketball IQ (Because Muscles Aren’t Everything)
Learning how to read defenses like a textbook
Understanding game tempo and strategy
Teaching kids that “get open” is not a play call
We don’t just train athletes—we develop thinkers, so when Coach yells “weak side help!” your kid doesn’t just nod and hope someone else does it.
🦵 Skills & Conditioning (Because Pie Can’t Run Laps)
We mix high-rep skill work with conditioning that doesn’t make you cry (well… not always):
Shooting mechanics that don’t fall apart under pressure
Ball handling under fatigue, because every turnover hurts a little more in November
Full-court situational scrimmages—the best kind of chaos
Oh, and yes—we keep it fun. We’re not boot camp. But if your kid thinks “closeout” is just a term from Target, we’re gonna fix that.
🎃👟 Halloween’s Over, But the Hoops Are Still Haunted
October may have ended, but we’re still recovering from the trauma of watching players try to Euro-step in inflatable dinosaur costumes. This is the post-Halloween recovery period, where we clean up the confetti and get back to fundamentals.
Except at EBC, we never left the fundamentals behind. We just made them festive. Now? We’re doubling down on skill-building with just a dash of holiday spirit. Because why not?
🍗 Pre-Turkey Tournaments
To keep your player’s competitive edge from turning into pumpkin mush, we’re hosting:
Weekly mini-tournaments
3-on-3 battles with rotating teammates
Fast-paced shooting competitions (with bonus rounds for clutch shots)
And yes, there will be prizes. No, they won’t be leftover stuffing.
🦃 “But It’s Thanksgiving Break!” — Exactly.
Here’s the trap:
"We’ll just take this week off. It’s only one week."
One week becomes two. Suddenly, your kid’s legs are gone, their jumper is wonky, and their confidence? Somewhere near the mashed potatoes.
That’s why our Thanksgiving Week Training Sessions are open and running.
So your athlete can:
Burn off the feast
Stay in rhythm
And show up to December games looking like they never missed a beat (or a backboard)
We train around your turkey. Not during it. Unless you really want to scrimmage in a dining room.
💬 But Seriously, Why Does This Matter?
Because this isn’t just about basketball. It’s about learning:
How to stay committed when no one’s watching
How to push through when everyone else slows down
How to love the process, even when it’s sandwiched between pumpkin pie and finals week
Fall is the sneaky season—the one where players either stay sharp… or fall behind. And trust us, nobody wants to be that kid at tryouts explaining why they can’t run a basic drill.

🏆 TL;DR: Eat. Train. Repeat.
This November, while the rest of Kirkland is stuck in holiday limbo, EBC players are leveling up.
Because nothing tastes better than stuffing…

So let’s go.
Train smart. Laugh a little. And keep your game strong this fall.

Haunted Hoops: Halloween Fun & Basketball Drills in Kirkland
Plus… c’mon.
Basketball in a costume?
Monster drills?
A candy-fueled shooting contest?
This is the kind of stuff they’ll remember.
Alright, Kirkland… it’s October. The leaves are falling, pumpkin spice is assaulting your nostrils from every direction, and let’s be honest—your kid’s been in costume mode since September 15th. You’re trying to keep them off sugar and TikTok, and suddenly you’re realizing: we need something fun, active, and actually productive before I lose it.
Enter: Haunted Hoops at EBC Training Centers.
This October, we’re bringing the heat and the haunted. Think basketball drills meets Halloween thrills. It’s the perfect combo of fitness, fundamentals, and just enough spooky fun to keep the kids talking about it until Thanksgiving. And no, we’re not putting anyone in a Jason mask during full-court drills—but we’re not ruling it out either.
Fall Training Meets Fright Night: What Is Haunted Hoops?
Look, Halloween is great. Candy, costumes, chaotic neighborhood kids hopped up on Smarties—it’s tradition. But at EBC, we’re flipping the script with a month-long Halloween-inspired basketball experience for athletes who want to keep their skills sharp while still getting in on the fun.
This isn’t just “trick-or-treat and shoot a free throw.” This is legit training, with a twist.
Here’s what we’ve got brewing in the cauldron this October:
🎃 Halloween-Themed Drills
We’re bringing the boo to your bounce pass. Every week, we mix in themed stations like:
Zombie Closeouts: Defensive slide like something undead is chasing you. Because it is.
Pumpkin Pick & Rolls: Just like it sounds… minus the squishy mess.
Witch Hat Shooting Challenges: Accuracy, footwork, and maybe some flying brooms (not guaranteed).
Monster 1-on-1 Matchups: Face off with your teammates in full costume. You think your crossover’s deadly now? Wait ‘til you try it dressed like a vampire.
👻 Friday Night Haunted Open Gym
Every Friday night, we dim the lights and turn up the Halloween vibes.
Players can wear costumes (as long as they can run in them)
Haunted soundtrack blasting
Friendly scrimmages, contests, and giveaways
Bonus points if your costume actually improves your defense
🍬 Trick Shot for a Treat
Yes, we’re giving out candy. But you gotta earn it.
Players attempt trick shots at the end of each session
Land it? Treat. Miss it? Push-ups. (Just kidding... maybe.)
Why Haunted Hoops?
Because let’s be honest—October is where kids start to check out. School’s back, homework’s piling up, the days are shorter, and motivation drops like your kid’s GPA after Fortnite dropped a new update.
Haunted Hoops keeps players engaged with:
Fun and structure
Real skill development (that doesn’t feel like work)
Mental and physical focus when most kids are starting to drift
If you're a parent, this is the golden zone—your kid gets to run around, stay sharp, and come home tired. You win.
What Skills Are We Building? (Besides Being Scary Good)
Despite all the ghostly jokes, we’re still focused on fundamentals:
Shooting under pressure (because yes, it’s hard to shoot in a mask)
Dribbling in chaos (costumes, distractions, spooky music—welcome to the real world, kid)
Agility, speed, and conditioning
Team communication (yes, even mummies need to call for the ball)
Confidence through creativity—because nothing builds swagger like crossing someone over in a werewolf costume
And don’t worry—we still run structured stations, give real coaching feedback, and keep everything organized. This is EBC, not your neighbor’s garage haunted house.
Who Should Join?
✔️ Beginner players looking to learn the game in a fun, low-pressure environment
✔️ Intermediate athletes wanting to keep their edge during the fall slump
✔️ Advanced hoopers who can’t stand a month off and love a good challenge
✔️ Kids who want to wear their Halloween costume more than once
We group athletes by age and skill level, so no one’s getting dunked on by a 6'2" eighth grader in a skeleton onesie.
Parents: Let’s Talk
We know Halloween weekend is full of chaos. Parties. Parades. Candy negotiations. Haunted Hoops gives you something you don’t have to organize.
You drop your kid off. We:
Run them through fun, high-intensity basketball training
Keep them engaged, active, and social
Send them home with a sugar-free adrenaline high (okay maybe a tiny bit of sugar)
You enjoy 90 minutes of peace. It’s practically a spa day.

Listen—fall is when most kids start to coast. They get comfy. They start slacking. And then tryouts roll around and boom—reality hits harder than an 8th grader with a growth spurt.
Don’t let your player fall into that trap. Haunted Hoops gives them the edge while everyone else is taking October off.

Monster drills?
A candy-fueled shooting contest?
This is the kind of stuff they’ll remember.

Give your kid the best chance to show up and not just survive tryouts—but shine.
Well, well, well… if it isn’t the end of summer. The kids are back in school, the flip-flops are slowly retreating back into the closet, and everyone’s pretending they didn’t spend three solid months sleeping in, gaming, and developing a strong emotional bond with air conditioning.
But now, it’s September in Kirkland—and you know what that means: back to school, back to basketball, and back to reality. At EBC Training Centers, we’re flipping the switch from “vacation mode” to “game mode,” and we’re doing it with more energy than a kid on their third Capri Sun during recess.
This fall, it’s not about training harder. It’s about training smarter—because fall is where champions are built while everyone else is still shaking the sand out of their sneakers.
Why Fall is the MVP of Training Seasons
Let’s get this out of the way: Fall is criminally underrated when it comes to basketball development. Everyone talks about summer like it’s the only season that counts, but fall? Fall is where the smart players get ahead while the rest are figuring out how to spell “extracurricular.”
Think about it:
School’s back = structure is back
Cooler temps = no more sweating like a broken air fryer
Less distraction = more focus
At EBC Training Centers, we know that this is your moment to level up before winter tournaments, school seasons, and coach evaluations start rolling in. And you know what coaches like? Players who didn’t ghost their grind the second school supplies went on sale.
What’s New and Next at EBC This Fall?
We’re glad you asked, imaginary voice of motivation. This fall, our program isn’t just about running suicides until you regret wearing high socks. We’re talking about a complete, structured, intelligent training program that actually makes you better. Crazy, right?
🏀 Fundamentals That Don’t Lie
We’re going deep into the details:
Shooting mechanics that don’t fall apart under pressure
Ball control drills to make turnovers a thing of the past
Footwork training to get you moving like a ninja instead of a newborn giraffe
Game IQ development so you stop asking “what’s the play again?” mid-possession
Every drill, scrimmage, and feedback session is designed to make you a coach’s dream and a defender’s nightmare.
📚 Train Like a Student-Athlete
You’re already hitting the books—now it’s time to hit the hardwood. Our fall schedule is built to complement your academic life. Because surprise: your brain works better when your body is active, and we like our athletes to be sharp in both arenas.
After-school sessions that don’t interfere with homework
Weekend intensives for extra reps
Team environment that reinforces discipline, accountability, and consistency
We’re basically an after-school program—but, like, the cool kind.
🧠 Mental Fitness & Focus
Fall isn’t just when you learn algebra. It’s also when we teach you how to handle the mental side of the game. From performance anxiety to leadership development, we integrate tools like:
Graham Betchart’s Mental Fitness Training
Confidence-building scrimmages
Pressure drills that simulate game-day intensity
We build players who don’t flinch when the buzzer sounds and aren’t afraid to take the big shot—or recover from a big miss.
Who’s This For?
Short answer: If you can dribble (or want to learn), it’s for you.
Long answer:
Elementary players just starting their basketball journey
Middle school athletes prepping for tryouts
High school hoopers trying to keep their edge
Players of all levels who want to improve, not just coast
Whether you’re trying to make the team or make the starting lineup, we train every player with the intensity and attention they deserve.

Parents, We See You Too
Let’s be honest—fall is chaotic. You’re juggling drop-offs, practices, math homework, and lunch packing like you’re auditioning for Cirque du Soleil.
That’s why EBC training gives you:
A safe, structured space where your kid can grow
Coaches who double as mentors (without the corny speeches)
Flexible scheduling that won’t wreck your calendar
Plus, you get to enjoy an hour or two of quiet while your kid is busy working on their jump shot and not trying to microwave macaroni with the foil still on.
Back to School, Back to Basketball, Back to Greatness
Look—fall isn’t just a season. It’s an opportunity. While everyone else is still adjusting to early alarms and new classes, you could be getting sharper, quicker, and more game-ready than ever.
It’s not about playing harder—it’s about training smarter. It’s about making the little tweaks now that turn into big moments later. It’s about walking into that first winter game already warm, confident, and ready to dominate.
So, are you ready to level up this fall? Or are you gonna be the one who shows up to tryouts still thinking warm-up lines count as cardio?
EBC Training Centers in Kirkland is ready for you.
Now it’s your move. 🏀
See you at the gym—bring water, bring hustle, and maybe, bring a friend who needs a reality check.
Last Chance to Level Up: Fall Tryouts Are Around the Corner!
You already bought the expensive shoes. You’re packing snacks like it’s the Olympics. You’ve been driving to every tournament this side of Spokane. So why stop now?
Alright Kirkland hoopers—let’s cut the small talk. Summer’s almost over, and those fall basketball tryouts? They’re creeping up like your grandma at a middle school dance. One minute you’re chilling in flip-flops eating Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, and the next—you’re at tryouts wondering why your lungs feel like they’ve never met oxygen before.
That’s why EBC Training Centers is sounding the alarm. This isn’t a drill. This is your last chance to level up before it’s game-on, clipboard out, and coaches squinting at your jump shot like, “...Hmm.”
Let’s talk about how we’re turning late summer panic into pre-tryout power. Spoiler alert: you’re gonna sweat, you’re gonna learn, and by the end, you just might make the team and sleep like a champion.
Don’t Get Caught Slippin’ in September
You know what’s worse than not making the team? Having to explain to everyone at school that you “weren’t really trying anyway.” Don’t do that to yourself. You’ve got time, and at EBC, we’ve got the plan.
Fall tryouts are NOT the time to “figure it out.” That time is now—when there’s still room to grow, grind, and maybe even develop that left-hand layup your coach has been passive-aggressively hinting at since March.
July and August were warm-ups. Now it’s crunch time.
What We’re Serving This Pre-Tryout Season
If you’re expecting light drills and motivational posters, keep walking. EBC is about real development. That means:
Intentional training
Direct feedback
Hard work that actually pays off
🏀 Skill Work That’s Not Messing Around
You know what gets you cut from a team real fast? Looking confused on the court. That’s why we train for real situations—not just cone drills and hope.
We’re working on:
Game-speed shooting: Hit shots when it counts, not just during warmups.
Handle pressure handling: No more panic passes when the defense gets tight.
Footwork that doesn’t trip over itself: Offense and defense.
Conditioning: So your face doesn’t turn purple after three trips down the floor.
🧠 Play Smarter, Not Just Harder
You can run fast, jump high, and still make decisions that make your coach question life. Not on our watch.
We’re focusing on:
Situational awareness: What to do when, and why.
Basketball IQ: Know the game better than your opponent.
Tryout strategy: How to stand out without being “that guy.”
Because being the loudest one in the gym doesn’t help if you’re yelling, “I got ball!” while the other team is already scoring.
💪 Confidence & Grit Training
Let’s keep it real: tryouts are stressful. You’re not just playing ball, you’re playing mental chess in sneakers. That’s why we also train:
Resilience under pressure
Mental fitness with Graham Betchart strategies
Body language & leadership presence—yes, that’s a thing
Because coaches aren’t just watching your skills. They’re watching how you carry yourself when things don’t go your way.
Who Needs This Training?
If you’re asking, “Is this for me?” let’s just go ahead and say: yes.
Trying out for a school team for the first time? This is for you.
Got cut last year and swore it wouldn’t happen again? Also for you.
Already made the team but you know someone’s coming for your spot? 100% for you.
Mom signed you up because she’s tired of you sleeping till noon? Yep. Still for you.
“Okay But I Was Just Gonna Practice at the Park…”
Look, we respect a good park workout. But unless you’re getting feedback, structure, and competitive reps, that’s just cardio with a hoop.
You need:
✔️ Coaches who actually teach
✔️ Drills that simulate game play
✔️ Peers pushing you to be better
✔️ Real-time correction before habits get locked in
That’s EBC. Not just reps—but right reps.

Parents: Let’s Talk for a Second
You already bought the expensive shoes. You’re packing snacks like it’s the Olympics. You’ve been driving to every tournament this side of Spokane. So why stop now?
Give your kid the best chance to show up and not just survive tryouts—but shine.
Our training doesn’t just prepare them physically—it gets them mentally ready to compete, handle nerves, and walk into that gym with swagger and skill.
And hey, it gives you a break too. Which… yeah. You deserve that.
Final Pep Talk (Because Someone Needs to Hear It)
Don’t show up to tryouts hoping it’ll “just go okay.” Show up knowing you’ve done everything to get ready.
Last year was last year.
Excuses are expired.
This is your shot.
So whether you’re going for the varsity squad, the freshman team, or just want to stop getting benched in rec league—now is the time to grind.
Fall tryouts are around the corner.
Let’s get ready. Let’s level up. Let’s get you on that roster.
🏀 EBC Training Centers is here.
Let’s work.
Beat the Heat, Not Your Defense: Stay Sharp at EBC This July
So don’t just beat the heat—beat your competition.
Train with EBC Training Centers in Kirkland this July. Stay cool, stay sharp, and show up ready to win.
Alright Kirkland families, it’s July—sun’s blazing, ice cream’s melting faster than your patience, and your kids are somewhere between "I'm bored" and "Can I eat lunch at 10:15 a.m.?" Sound familiar? Yeah, we’ve all been there.
While the rest of the world is melting into patio furniture and pretending backyard hoses count as hydration, we’re over here at EBC Training Centers doing something a little different. We’re staying cool, staying focused, and turning up the heat where it counts—on the basketball court.
Because while the sun’s roasting the sidewalks, we’re out here teaching your young athletes how to roast defenses. Let’s talk about why July basketball training in Kirkland isn’t just a good idea—it’s the best one you’ll have all summer.
Why July Matters: Because Skills Don’t Take Vacations
Let’s break it down:
Summer tournaments are heating up.
Fall tryouts are closer than you think.
And kids? They forget skills fast if they don’t stay active.
You know what happens when you take two weeks off and try to come back like nothing happened? You miss layups, you fumble passes, and suddenly, you’re guarding the bench again.
At EBC, we make sure that doesn’t happen. Our July training program is all about maintaining momentum, growing confidence, and outworking the competition—even while everyone else is sleeping in till noon.
What to Expect: Summer Sweat Meets Game IQ
We’re not here to babysit with a basketball. This is real training, run by coaches who care, and designed to get kids better—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Because at EBC, we train the player and the person.
Here’s what we’re running in July:
🔥 Skills Development
We cover everything:
Shooting Mechanics: Form, release, follow-through. No more wild bricks.
Ball Handling: Tight dribbles, explosive crossovers, real control under pressure.
Finishing Moves: Layups, floaters, euro-steps—the good stuff.
Defensive Footwork: Slide, react, lock down—without fouling every 30 seconds.
We’re training players to be sharp, aggressive, and ready to shine in any game situation.
🏋️♂️ Conditioning That Doesn’t Suck
We get it—no one loves sprints in 85-degree weather. But we make it fun, purposeful, and built into gameplay. You’ll sweat, but you’ll get better.
Agility ladders
Explosive movement drills
Strength circuits
Recovery & mobility work
You’ll leave tired but proud. And more importantly—you’ll leave ready to dominate.
🧠 Basketball IQ & Mental Fitness
Because talent without smarts is just a highlight reel with no wins. We focus on:
Decision-making under pressure
Understanding offensive and defensive systems
Reading the court like a coach
Mental toughness with Graham Betchart’s proven training system
This isn’t just about who can jump the highest—it’s about who knows what to do when it matters most.
Special July Events: More Than Just Training
You think we’d stop at drills? Come on, this is EBC in July—we know how to turn up the energy:
💥 Mid-Summer Scrimmage Week
Players will compete in organized games throughout the week—putting all their training to the test in a live-game setting with real feedback.
🎯 Heat Check Shooting Challenge
Who’s got the hottest hand in Kirkland? We’ll find out during our shooting showdown. Categories for all age groups, with prizes, shoutouts, and a spot on the EBC Summer Heat Leaderboard.
🏆 1-on-1 Showdown Series
Think your kid’s ready to take on their teammates one-on-one? They’ll prove it here. Winner gets bragging rights, and maybe a slushie (if they win and behave).
Who Is July Training For?
✔️ Young hoopers looking to keep improving
✔️ Middle schoolers prepping for fall team tryouts
✔️ High school players trying to stay in peak condition for summer tournaments
✔️ Athletes who want to lead—not chase
We don’t care if your kid is the team’s top scorer or just learning how to not dribble off their foot—if they want to get better, we want to coach them.

Parents, Let’s Be Honest for a Second
It’s hot. The kids are home. They’re eating you out of house and home and using your furniture like it’s a bounce house.
This is your solution.
A safe place.
Air-conditioned.
Led by adults who are professionally trained to deal with high-energy youth.
And more importantly—we’re developing them.
You’ll pick them up tired, focused, and full of stories about how they crossed someone over or hit a step-back three. Beats watching them binge cartoons all day, right?
Final Word: Stay Sharp While Everyone Else Slows Down
July is when everyone else takes their foot off the gas. That’s your opportunity to separate.
When August hits, the ones who trained in July will already be:
In shape
In rhythm
And in control
Everyone else? They’ll be trying to remember which end of the court they’re supposed to run to.
So don’t just beat the heat—beat your competition.
Train with EBC Training Centers in Kirkland this July. Stay cool, stay sharp, and show up ready to win.
🏀 Let’s get to work. See you at the gym.
School’s Out, Skills Up: Summer Basketball Training in Kirkland
We’re not raising just players—we’re raising leaders, teammates, and people who can take what they’ve learned here and apply it everywhere. That’s the kind of training we believe in.
Alright Kirkland, let’s get into it—school’s out, backpacks are collecting dust, and your kids just told you they’re “bored” five minutes after finishing finals. We know the drill. It’s summertime, and the “what do we do now?” phase is officially here. But instead of letting your young ones become permanent couch ornaments or TikTok-chore experts, how about we channel that energy into something that builds confidence, discipline, and serious game?
Welcome to Summer Basketball Training at EBC Training Centers in Kirkland, where the focus is on more than just hoops—it’s about building better athletes and better humans, one sweaty, game-ready rep at a time.
Because Summer Shouldn’t Be Wasted on Wifi
Let’s be real. Summer’s supposed to be a break, not a breakdown in routine. We love a lazy morning, but by week two, you’re going to hear:
“There’s nothing to do.”
“Can we go to the mall again?”
“I watched everything on Netflix.”
And that’s when it hits you—they need structure. And not the “clean your room” kind. The “show up, work hard, grow stronger” kind. That’s where EBC’s Summer Basketball Training steps in.
This isn’t just babysitting with a basketball. We’re talking real development, real goals, and real growth. All while having fun, staying active, and learning what it means to grind with purpose.
What’s Going Down at EBC This Summer?
This summer, we’re taking hoop dreams and turning them into highlight reels. Whether your kid is new to the game, trying to make their school team, or already ballin’ but needs that edge, our summer program is built to push, challenge, and empower.
🏀 Skill Building (Not Skill Coasting)
Let’s start with the basics—because without the fundamentals, all you’ve got is cardio in sneakers.
Shooting Mechanics: Clean up that form and start sinking shots with confidence.
Ball Handling: Go from “dribble like a baby deer” to “ankle-breaking certified.”
Footwork & Defense: Know where to be and how to stay there—without falling over.
Our coaches don’t just yell random basketball words—they break it down, explain the why, and make sure each player gets reps with purpose.
🧠 Basketball IQ Sessions
Being a baller isn’t just about having quick hands and fast feet. You’ve got to think the game. That’s where our IQ sessions come in:
Reading defenses
Understanding spacing
Making smart decisions under pressure
We’re teaching kids how to see the game two plays ahead. That’s not magic—that’s training.
🏃♂️ Conditioning Without the Boredom
We’ll be honest—nobody likes running just to run. So we don’t do that. We integrate conditioning through gameplay, drills, and team challenges. The kids are having fun and don’t even realize they’re getting in shape. That’s the secret sauce.
Special Summer Events (Because We Like to Keep It Spicy)
🌟 Mid-Summer Skills Showcase
Think of it as a friendly competition to show off what you’ve learned—because pressure situations are where players rise. Families are invited, players compete in drills, shooting contests, and scrimmages, and everyone walks away with something to celebrate.
💥 Weekly 3-on-3 Mini Tournaments
High-paced, quick thinking, nonstop action. Our 3-on-3s are where players apply what they’ve learned, test their skills in real time, and learn how to win and lose like champions.
🏆 End-of-Summer Game Day
The big finale. Teams go head-to-head, coaches bring the fire, and every player walks away knowing they’ve earned more than sweat stains and sore legs.
Who’s Summer Training For?
If your kid fits into one of these categories, this program is for them:
The Rookie – Still figuring out which side of the court to run to? Perfect. We’ll get them caught up and loving the game.
The Role Player – On the team, but not getting minutes? Let’s change that.
The Team Leader in Training – Already solid, but looking to lead, dominate, and stand out? This is where they sharpen those edges.
And honestly? If you’re a parent just looking for a safe, structured, high-impact space for your kid this summer—you’ve found it.
Parents, This One’s for You
Let’s not pretend you’re not also thinking about carpool schedules, snack budgets, and maybe a few hours of quiet time. We see you.
Our training schedule is flexible, with both morning and evening sessions so it actually fits your life. You’re not rearranging your universe to help your kid get better. We make it workable, convenient, and totally worth it.

Real Growth Happens Off the Court, Too
At EBC, we care about more than just the scoreboard. We’re helping young athletes:
Build discipline
Learn accountability
Develop mental toughness
Grow confidence that lasts long after the buzzer
Basketball is the vehicle, but life skills are the destination.
We’re not raising just players—we’re raising leaders, teammates, and people who can take what they’ve learned here and apply it everywhere. That’s the kind of training we believe in.
Don’t Let Summer Be a Setback
Look, there are two types of athletes in the summer:
The ones who train
And the ones who try to play catch-up in the fall
Don’t be the second kind. Don’t let your kid be the second kind.
School’s out. Skills up.

May Madness: Get Ready for Summer Ball at EBC Training Centers
The players who grind now are the ones who shine later.
The players who skip training now are the ones sitting on the bench wondering what happened.
Alright Kirkland—and everybody else who pretends Kirkland is "basically Seattle"—listen up! May is here. That’s right, the month where the rain gets slightly warmer, school starts winding down, and every kid is just counting the days until summer break hits.
While everyone else is daydreaming about vacations and BBQs, the real ones are getting ready for something way bigger: Summer Ball. And at EBC Training Centers, we’re making sure you’re not just ready—you’re locked in and ready to take over.
So, before you start planning your road trip to nowhere, let’s talk about why May Madness at EBC is your ticket to a summer full of slam dunks instead of slammed doors after losses.
Why May Is the Secret Weapon for Summer Basketball Success
Let me hit you with some real talk: if you’re not putting in the work in May, you’re already starting the summer season two steps behind. May is where you build that momentum. It’s the month where players either sharpen up or show up to summer tournaments looking like they just woke up from a six-month nap.
At EBC Training Centers, we don’t let players coast into summer—we build up to it, loud, proud, and a little sweaty.
Here’s why you need to be getting after it this May:
1️⃣ School’s Ending—But the Work’s Just Starting
School wrapping up doesn’t mean your grind wraps up. Nah, May is the perfect time to shift gears:
More free time = More reps
Less homework = More gym time
Less teachers = More coaches yelling at you to box out properly (you’re welcome)
If you want to hit the ground running in June, you better be working your tail off right now.
2️⃣ Summer Rosters Are Being Built—Are You Ready?
Let’s be real, coaches don’t hand out playing time like it’s Halloween candy. You gotta earn it.
May training helps players:
Stay in shape while everyone else is chillin'
Fine-tune skills that separate you from the pack
Build chemistry with teammates before the season even starts
No coach is going to be mad when you show up ready to run, shoot, defend, and celebrate responsibly. (Okay maybe not that last part.)
What May Madness Looks Like at EBC Training Centers
If you’re thinking it’s just a couple laps and some layup lines, mijo, you’re in for a wake-up call. EBC Training Centers’ May Madness is all about pushing you toward your goals with purpose, energy, and a lot of laughing at yourself when your coach makes you redo that defensive slide drill.
Here’s the breakdown:
🏀 Skills. Skills. More Skills.
We are cooking up:
Shooting Drills to get that jumper tighter than your abuelita’s Tupperware lid
Ball Handling Work to stop looking like you’re dribbling a bowling ball
Defense Focus because if you can’t guard your own little cousin, we’ve got problems
No slacking, no hiding. Just hard work and big-time results.
🏃♂️ Conditioning for Those Hot Summer Tournaments
You think it’s hot now? Wait until July when the gym feels like a sauna with double overtime. May conditioning is where we make sure you can actually run the floor instead of calling for a sub after two possessions.
We’re talking:
Agility drills
Core work
Strength training to survive the bump and grind of real game action
Bring a towel. Maybe two.
🧠 Basketball IQ Sessions
You don’t win games by just being fast—you win by being smart.
Reading defenses
Recognizing traps
Making smart decisions under pressure
We’ll have film sessions and court breakdowns so that next time you see a zone defense, you’re not just staring at it like it’s an alien invasion.
Special May Madness Events
We like to keep it spicy around here, so during May, we’re throwing in some extra fun:
🐣 Skills Challenge Saturday
Every Saturday, players compete in:
Shooting contests
Speed dribble relays
Defensive lockdown battles
Prizes? You bet. Bragging rights? Even better. Losers buying smoothies? We’ll see.
🏆 3-on-3 Spring Showdown
Fast, furious, and low-key hilarious. We’ll be hosting a 3-on-3 mini-tournament where players can show off their improved skills, teamwork, and creativity. The winners will get their names on our Wall of Spring Ballers—which is basically like having your jersey retired if you’re 12.
Who Should Sign Up for May Madness?
Honestly? If you’ve got a pair of sneakers and a dream, you’re already halfway there.
But specifically:
✔️ Elementary and Middle School Players getting ready for AAU and rec leagues
✔️ High School Players preparing for serious summer showcase action
✔️ Anyone who’s sick of getting clowned by their cousins at the park
No matter your current level, if you want to work, we’ve got the gym, the coaches, and the plan.

Final Word Before You Go Back to Scrolling
Look, you can spend May sitting around waiting for summer—or you can get serious, get stronger, and make summer ball your breakout season.
The players who grind now are the ones who shine later.
The players who skip training now are the ones sitting on the bench wondering what happened.
It’s simple.

See you at the gym. And bring that energy—Coach doesn’t accept "I forgot my water bottle" as an excuse anymore.
Easter Eggs & Perfect Jump Shots: April Basketball Training in Kirkland
Join us at EBC Training Centers in Kirkland for a month of growth, fun, and maybe just a little bit of bunny-themed basketball. Because nothing says spring like a perfect jump shot—and a kid who actually wants to get off the couch.
Ahhh, April in Kirkland. The flowers are blooming, the birds are chirping, and somewhere in the distance, a basketball hits nothing but net. That’s right—spring is in full swing, Easter eggs are being hunted, and at EBC Training Centers, we’re out here helping young hoopers hunt for something even better: perfect jump shots.
If your kid’s idea of cardio is running after candy-filled eggs or if their crossover move still looks like they’re dodging a bee, it might be time for some April basketball training—EBC style. We’re bringing the energy, the laughs, the discipline (just the right amount), and some serious development to the hardwood this month.
Let’s talk about why April 2025 is the perfect time to put the jellybeans down and pick up the pace on those basketball goals.
Spring, Swag, and Shooting Form: Why April Is Prime Time for Hoops
Now we’re not saying Easter and basketball have to be in competition… but if you can find time to dye 36 hard-boiled eggs and hide them all over the backyard, you can find time for a jump shot tune-up, right?
April is when the serious players show up—right between spring break naps and whatever that awkward weather is doing outside. One minute it’s sunny, the next minute you’re dribbling through a puddle. That’s just Washington.
Here’s why April basketball training in Kirkland is the real MVP this month:
1. Post-Spring Break Reality Check
Spring break is great. We love it. But it also means a week of eating snacks and forgetting what a proper defensive stance looks like. April is when we shake the Cheeto dust off our fingers and get back to business.
This month is your chance to:
Get back in rhythm after the break
Rebuild cardio and conditioning
Re-establish good habits before bad ones sneak in (again)
2. Easter Energy = Basketball Energy
You know that wild, sugar-powered energy kids have after a few too many chocolate bunnies? We harness that. Instead of bouncing off the walls, we get them bouncing off screens, boxing out, and dropping dimes.
It’s all about channeling that spring excitement into actual development. Let’s trade the egg basket for a basketball and get to work.
What’s Happening at EBC Training Centers This April?
We’re not just running kids in circles and calling it training. Our April basketball programs in Kirkland are a combination of skill development, basketball IQ growth, and building confidence that lasts long after the candy runs out.
Here’s what’s cookin’ on the court:
🏀 Skill-Specific Clinics
We break it down so every player builds it up—stronger, smarter, cleaner.
Shooting Fundamentals: Form, balance, release, follow-through. No more “throw it and hope.”
Ball Handling & Footwork: Because every player should be able to cross up a cone—and maybe even a defender.
Passing Accuracy: Deliver that dime like it’s Easter dinner and Grandma’s waiting.
🧠 Basketball IQ & Game Awareness
Easter eggs aren’t the only thing we help kids find—we help them discover the “why” behind their game.
Understanding spacing
Making smart decisions under pressure
Reading plays before they happen
It’s not just drills—it’s how to think the game like a pro (even if you’re only 11 and still learning how to tie your shoes properly).
💪 Conditioning & Confidence Building
April training helps build the endurance to go full speed when it counts. We’re talking:
Strength and agility circuits
Plyometric drills
Core workouts (aka the “how not to fall over” drills)
Bonus: nothing boosts confidence like seeing your hard work pay off in scrimmages and real game reps. Confidence = unlocked.
Easter-Themed Basketball Fun? You Betcha.
Look, we’re not above mixing in a little fun with the fundamentals. It’s Easter season, and if your kid thinks dribbling through a cone obstacle course shaped like a giant bunny is weird, well… that’s the point. They’ll never forget it.
🐣 Egg Hunt Skills Challenge
We’re hiding basketball-related “eggs” all over the gym. Players earn clues through:
Making free throws
Completing footwork drills
Winning mini 3-on-3 matchups
Each clue gets them closer to a prize. It’s fun, it’s motivating, and yes, there’s candy (but only if they beat the coach’s score).
🎯 Shooting for Sweets
Players get points for form, accuracy, and even style (if they can sell it). Prizes include gear, treats, and, of course, bragging rights.
Hey, it’s Easter—let the kids flex a little.

Final Word (Before You Go Hunt Eggs Again)
April isn’t just about finding chocolate and dodging bees in the park—it’s about putting in the work while everyone else is napping off their jellybean hangovers. Train smart now, play harder later.
Join us at EBC Training Centers in Kirkland for a month of growth, fun, and maybe just a little bit of bunny-themed basketball. Because nothing says spring like a perfect jump shot—and a kid who actually wants to get off the couch.
See you on the court. Bring your energy (and maybe a basket, just in case). 🏀🐰
Spring Into Better Hoops: Elevate Your Game at EBC Training Centers in Kirkland
Spring is here, Kirkland hoopers! The sun is peeking out, the rain is (hopefully) letting up, and the excuses? Yeah, those are done. It’s time to shake off that winter rust and get back to serious basketball training. If you’ve spent the last few months perfecting the art of couch lounging instead of perfecting your crossover, don’t worry—we’ve got you covered.
At EBC Training Centers, we’re launching our Spring 2025 Basketball Training Program to help players level up, refine their skills, and dominate the court. Whether you’re prepping for next season, trying to make a school team, or just looking to torch your friends at pickup games, this is your chance to put in the work.
So, let’s talk spring basketball—why it matters, what we’re offering, and why you need to get in the gym now before summer ball kicks off.
Why Spring is Prime Time for Basketball Training
Basketball isn’t just a winter sport—real players know the work happens year-round. Spring training is where you either pull ahead or fall behind. Here’s why this season is crucial for hoopers looking to make big moves:
1️⃣ Time to Correct Bad Habits
Been taking wild, off-balance shots all season? We’ll fix that.
Footwork all over the place? Say no more.
Playing defense like a turnstile? That ends now.
Spring is the perfect time to clean up your game before the pressure of team tryouts and summer tournaments kicks in.
2️⃣ Spring Training = Summer Domination
You know who’s NOT training in spring? The players you’ll be crossing up in June.
The ones who show up to summer leagues out of shape and wondering why they’re getting run off the court. That doesn’t have to be you.
Spring is where serious players get stronger, faster, and sharper.
3️⃣ More Reps, More Growth
Less structured school ball means more time for individual skill development. That means:
✔️ More focused training on weak areas
✔️ More scrimmage time to work on live-game decisions
✔️ More time in the gym without worrying about regular season games
Spring isn’t just for keeping your skills up—it’s for taking them to the next level.
Spring Training at EBC: What to Expect
At EBC Training Centers, we don’t just run players through the same old drills. Our Spring 2025 program is designed for real growth—focusing on the details that make good players great.
Here’s how we’re making sure you leave spring better than ever:
🏀 Skill-Specific Training: Sharpen the Fundamentals
Spring training is all about refinement—we take what you already know and make it elite.
Shooting Mechanics: No more leaning, fading, or rushing your shot. Get that pure stroke down.
Handles & Footwork: If your dribble package is suspect, we’re fixing it.
Defensive Mastery: Learn how to clamp down without getting blown by.
Every session is designed to eliminate weaknesses and turn strengths into weapons.
🔥 Strength, Speed & Stamina: Get in Peak Shape
You can’t hoop if you’re gassed after two trips down the floor. Our strength & conditioning work focuses on:
Explosiveness (so you’re faster on your first step)
Endurance (so you’re still playing hard in the 4th quarter)
Core Strength (so you finish strong at the rim)
This isn’t just about getting fit—it’s about getting game-ready.
🎯 Basketball IQ & Decision Making: Play Smarter, Not Harder
Basketball isn’t just skill and athleticism—it’s mental. If you don’t know how to read the game, you’re already behind.
Film study to break down elite-level decision-making
Situational training so you know what to do when the game’s on the line
Court awareness drills so you always make the right pass, the right cut, and the right move
Spring training isn’t just about working harder—it’s about working smarter.
🚀 Private & Small Group Training: One-on-One Attention
We know every player is different, so we offer:
Private training for intensive, personalized coaching
Small group sessions for focused skill work without distractions
If you want extra reps, custom drills, and detailed feedback, this is the way to go.
Who Should Join Spring Training?
If you’re asking this question, it’s probably you.
But in case you need a checklist:
✔️ Middle & High School Players – Want to go from role player to starter? This is for you.
✔️ College Prospects – Looking to impress scouts? You need consistent, high-level training.
✔️ Dedicated Hoopers – Even if you just want to stop getting cooked at the YMCA, you’re welcome here.
If you’re serious about basketball, spring is the time to train.

Kickstart the New Year with EBC Training Centers: January 2025 is All About Growth, Goals, and Greatness!
Happy New Year, Kirkland! 🎉 The holidays may be over, but the energy at EBC Training Centers is just heating up. If you’re anything like us, January means fresh starts, new goals, and the perfect opportunity to level up your game. Whether your young athlete is looking to fine-tune their skills or make 2025 the year they dominate the court, January at EBC Training Centers is where it all begins.
Here’s what we’ve got planned to make sure 2025 starts with a slam dunk (and maybe a few motivational high-fives along the way).
Why January is a Game-Changer at EBC Training Centers
January isn’t just another month on the calendar. For us, it’s the perfect moment to reset, refocus, and push our athletes toward greatness. After a season of holiday fun, it’s time to get serious, stay consistent, and set a foundation for success in the months ahead. Here’s what makes January the perfect time for basketball development:
Clear Head, Fresh Start: The post-holiday reset is real. With the excitement of family gatherings and festive meals behind us, players can zero in on their goals without distractions.
Setting the Tone for the Year: January is when champions are made. What players do this month will set the pace for the rest of the year—whether it’s preparing for spring leagues, AAU tournaments, or school team tryouts.
Extra Motivation: There’s something magical about a new year. Athletes are pumped, coaches are energized, and parents (that’s you!) are ready to support their kids’ dreams.
January Training Focus: Building Blocks of Success
We’re diving into January with a curriculum designed to push athletes to their limits while keeping things fun and engaging. Here’s a breakdown of what your athlete can expect:
1. Core Skill Development
January is all about going back to the basics and refining them to perfection. We focus on:
Shooting Mechanics: Proper form, follow-through, and shot consistency.
Ball Handling: Drills designed to improve dribbling speed, control, and decision-making.
Defense Mastery: Stance, footwork, and defensive strategy—because defense wins games.
We’ll also be incorporating position-specific training so players can dominate the court in their specific roles, whether they’re guards, forwards, or centers.
2. Fitness & Conditioning
January workouts are designed to build endurance and strength after the holiday break. Think agility drills, core strengthening, and explosive speed work. Players will be ready to outlast their competition and stay sharp well into the season.
3. Mental Fitness with Graham Betchart
We’re bringing back our mental fitness workshops to help players develop a winning mindset. Led by renowned mental coach Graham Betchart, these sessions focus on handling pressure, building resilience, and setting achievable goals. Because being mentally tough is just as important as having the perfect jump shot.
January Events at EBC Training Centers
We’re not just about hard work—we’re about community, fun, and friendly competition. Here’s what we’ve got lined up this January:
New Year’s Skills Challenge – January 13th
It’s time to see who’s been putting in the work! Our New Year’s Skills Challenge will test players in shooting, dribbling, passing, and speed. Winners will walk away with prizes, bragging rights, and a boost of confidence to fuel them through the rest of the month.
Mid-Season Scrimmages – January 20th
We’re bringing teams together for a day of friendly, high-energy scrimmages. It’s a chance for players to apply what they’ve learned in training, sharpen their game instincts, and have a blast competing with their teammates.
Goal-Setting Workshops: Helping Players Define Their Path
January isn’t just about hard work—it’s about working smart. During our goal-setting workshops, players will learn how to set realistic, measurable goals and create actionable plans to achieve them. Whether they want to improve their free-throw percentage or become a team leader, our coaches will help them map out the path to success.
Tips for Parents: How to Support Your Young Athlete in January
We know that the journey to success doesn’t just happen on the court—it starts at home. Here are a few tips for helping your child get the most out of January at EBC:
Encourage Consistency: Remind your child that progress is made one day at a time. Showing up consistently, even on the days when motivation is low, is key.
Set Goals Together: Sit down with your child and discuss their basketball goals for the year. Knowing you’re on their team can be a huge motivator.
Fuel Their Performance: Nutrition and rest are just as important as training. Make sure they’re getting the fuel they need to perform their best.
Celebrate the Wins: Whether it’s a small improvement in shooting accuracy or a standout moment during a scrimmage, be sure to recognize their hard work and growth.

Hey there, Kirkland parents! Grab your sneakers, your best ghostly costume, and your kid's basketball dreams, because EBC Training Centers is ready to bring you a fall filled with hoops and Halloween hijinks! That’s right—while your young athlete is working on their jump shot, they’ll also get a chance to partake in some spooky fun. We’re combining the best of both worlds this fall: top-tier basketball training and some Halloween thrills, all under one roof. It’s like shooting three-pointers in a haunted house… minus the haunted house part, but you get the idea!
Slam Dunks and Spooky Tricks: What to Expect this Fall
Let’s start with the basketball, because hey, we’re serious about turning your kid into the next big star—maybe even the next LeBron… or, you know, a player who can at least outshoot their friends at the neighborhood park.
Comprehensive Basketball Training: Your child will work on their dribbling, shooting, passing, and everything in between. We’re talking full-court practice, scrimmages, and strategy sessions. It’s not just about running up and down the court; it’s about thinking the game, playing smart, and learning what it takes to be a true baller.
Mental Fitness Training: This season, we’re rolling out something special—mental fitness sessions with Graham Betchart. These are designed to help your young athlete stay cool, calm, and confident whether they’re facing a tough game or just need to beat the nerves before Halloween costume contests!
Private Training Slots: Got a kid who’s dead set on dominating the court? We’ve got 100 private training slots this fall. That means they’ll get focused, one-on-one coaching to take their skills to the next level. (And no, unfortunately, we can’t train them to shoot candy into a pillowcase faster.)
Basketball by Day, Spooky Fun by Night
Here’s where things get really fun. While your kid is busy learning how to break ankles (not literally, don’t worry), we’re also getting into the Halloween spirit with some awesome events:
Halloween-Themed Open Gym: Imagine this—an open gym, but with costumes! Your child can dress up as their favorite character, monster, or even their favorite basketball star. We’ll have themed scrimmages, spooky music, and maybe even a few surprise "ghosts" on the court. Who says you can’t dunk in a Dracula cape?
Pumpkin Shooting Contest: No, we’re not throwing pumpkins—relax. We’ll set up fun Halloween-themed shooting challenges with prizes for the best trick shots. Bonus points if your child can do it while dressed as a zombie baller.
Spooky Zoom Call with Graham Betchart: For a special Halloween treat, we’re throwing in a spooky twist to our usual Sunday night mental fitness Zoom call. Think ghost stories, but for athletes. It’s all about overcoming fears (on and off the court) and turning nerves into confidence. Plus, your kid can join the call in costume—extra points for creativity!
Fall Schedule: Don’t Miss Out!
Here’s what a typical week looks like at EBC this fall:
Tuesdays: Full Court Practice, 5:30-6:45 PM. Get ready to sweat and maybe even scare your teammates with your new skills.
Thursdays: Film Study and Small Group Training, 4:15-5:30 PM. We’re breaking down the game so your child can dominate in real time.
Fridays: Open Gym, 6:00-7:00 PM. This is where they’ll practice their game moves—and their costume game, too!
Sundays: Mental Fitness Zoom with Graham Betchart, 4:00-4:30 PM. Because confidence is key, whether on the court or facing a haunted house.

Hey Bellevue parents! You’re probably here because your child loves basketball, or maybe they just need to burn off some extra energy (we feel you). Either way, we’ve got just the place for them. Welcome to EBC Training Centers, Washington State's premier basketball training hub, right here near Bellevue. We're gearing up for our Fall/Winter 2024-2025 tryouts, and spoiler alert—it’s going to be epic.
One Gym, One Family
At EBC Training Centers, we’re more than just a gym full of basketballs and high-fives. We’re a family, a tribe. Picture this: a community where every member cheers each other on, learns, grows, and becomes a better version of themselves. Sounds like a dream, right? That’s what we’re all about. Our motto, “One Gym, One Family,” isn’t just a catchy slogan—it’s the heartbeat of everything we do.
The EBC Edge: Why Choose Us?
We get it, there are a million activities your kid could be doing in Bellevue, from piano lessons to coding camps. But here’s why basketball at EBC Training Centers should be at the top of your list:
Player Development Focus: We don’t just throw your kid on the court and hope for the best. At EBC, we have a structured, comprehensive development program designed to build not just skills but also character. Your young athlete will learn teamwork, perseverance, and the value of setting and smashing goals.
Top-Notch Coaches and Training: Our coaching staff is like the Avengers of basketball coaching—each bringing a unique skill set that combines to create a powerhouse of knowledge and experience. They’re dedicated to helping each player develop their skills, whether it’s shooting, dribbling, or mastering that perfect three-pointer. Plus, we’re introducing Graham Betchart’s Mental Fitness Training this season. So, yeah, we’re not messing around.
Priority on Mental and Physical Health: We understand that great athletes are built in the gym but honed in the mind. That’s why we offer mental fitness training to help young players build resilience, focus, and a growth mindset. And, with practices ending by 8 PM, your young athlete gets enough shut-eye to wake up ready to conquer the world.
What’s New for Fall/Winter 2024-2025?
We’re always looking for ways to up our game, and this season, we’ve got some exciting new additions:
Weekly Training Schedule: Our comprehensive training program includes everything from full-court team practice to film study, controlled scrimmages, and even gameplay through tournaments. We’re serious about making sure your child gets the most out of every session.
Private Training Slots: For the first time ever, we’re reserving all weekday private training for our team members. That means your child gets top priority for personalized, one-on-one coaching. We know how valuable that is, especially if your kid’s got big hoop dreams.
Blue/White Team Structure: To ensure everyone gets a fair shot, we’re structuring our teams based on skill levels. The top 18 players in each age group will be divided into Blue (top team) and White (second team) after three weeks of practice. This means every player has a chance to shine and develop at their own pace.
